Questions
03Frequently asked questions.
When is a termination of employment lawful in Serbia?
The Labor Law sets out the grounds for termination and the procedure the employer must follow, including a written warning where required and a written decision. Whether a specific termination is lawful is assessed against those rules and the facts of the case.
Is there a deadline to bring an employment claim?
Yes. The Labor Law sets a deadline for filing a claim in court, which runs from the date the decision is served. That is why it is important to act as soon as you receive the decision.
Do you represent employers and employees?
Yes. The office drafts employment contracts and advises employers, and represents employees in protecting their employment rights and in employment disputes.
